Anthony Angerillo, MA

Anthony Angerillo, MA leads the team at The Recovery Village Salem as Site CEO. He was raised in Minnesota where he gained his passion for the great outdoors and for working in the behavioral health field. His first job in the field was as a support staff in a behavioral health group home while he was attending college at the University of Minnesota. From there he attended graduate school at National University in San Diego, CA where he received his MA in Counseling Psychology. In his career spanning 20 plus years he has worked in a variety of settings including private practice, Inpatient psychiatric, child and adolescent day treatment programs, adult residential treatment, detox, MAT and outpatient programs. He has held leadership roles in all of these areas where he is committed to building effective collaborative leadership teams that can support and provide the best possible client centered, evidenced based, trauma informed care possible.

Anthony builds a healthy work culture with an eye on supporting staff and cultivating their careers. His biggest passion is in treating those suffering from the disease of addiction and mental challenges. This passion comes from his own personal experience with family members that have struggled with the disease and having lost a family member to it. One of his biggest assets is the positivity he brings to his roles and his years of experience helping those in need. He stays actively involved in supporting legislature that provides benefits for those with addictions and mental health needs. He maintains strong collaborative relationships with community partners to help support the populations he serves. In his free time, Anthony enjoys exploring the great outdoors and having an active lifestyle.
