The presentation will feature the basics of the First Responder Coach Approach with an outline of what coaching is, isn’t and how it is similar and different than therapy and other modalities of treatment.  The presentation will also include an activity that the participants can use as a takeaway and practical application of coaching and how it can build into an increase of satisfaction in their overall lives.   

Objectives:

  1. Participants will leave the session with the understanding of the basic fundamentals of coaching.
  2. Participants will leave the session with the experience of a practical coaching activity.
  3. Participants will understand how coaching can be a tool to build resilience before, during, and after trauma and/or crisis.

About the Speakers:

After the medical retirement of her husband from law enforcement, Jennifer Anderson turned to coaching as a way to rebuild the foundation of her family. Seeing coaching as a modality to pro-actively approach mental health and wellness in the first responder community, she launched First Responder Coaching in 2021. In just under 2 years, Jennifer has built a successful coaching business from the ground up and now has certified coaches connected to departments across the USA and into Canada.
