Levels of Care

Conveniently situated in Kansas City, our outpatient center allows current patients to transition smoothly into continued care while also welcoming new patients in search of outpatient addiction or mental health services. The following levels of care are available at our outpatient office:

For severe opioid or alcohol use disorders, approved medications may be beneficial when medically appropriate. Medication-assisted treatment reduces the risk of relapse and cravings.

It’s very common to have co-occurring mental health disorders along with an addiction to drugs or alcohol. Dual diagnosis care treats both simultaneously to optimize your outcomes in recovery.

After completing a rehab program, you receive continued support through treatment provider referrals, information about support groups, relapse prevention plans and access to additional resources.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Our on-site MAT program may include medications such as Suboxone, Vivitrol, or Sublocade to help alleviate cravings and ease withdrawal symptoms. Treatment decisions are made in consultation with our medical team following a thorough assessment.

Outpatient Program

Consists of weekly individual and group therapy sessions. Family therapy can be used in place of individual therapy if it aligns better with your recovery plan.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Provides more frequent individual counseling and group therapy sessions, typically three hours a day, three days per week. Family therapy may be included based on your specific needs and treatment goals.

Telehealth Services

Allows clients to connect with therapists remotely for individual sessions and offers virtual participation in IOP group therapy each week.

The Recovery Village Kansas City Reviews

I entered the Recovery Village on May 19th 2025. The entire staff were very professional, the facility was very clean, the kitchen staff worked around the clock to make sure that everyone had plenty to eat and drink. I would highly recommend this facility if you’re serious about your recovery, whether it’s for an addiction or mental. Thank you to all the people of Recovery Village for helping me get through the tough times!❤️
Recovery Village is just amazing and all the staff are awesome. Even the Chief's cooks delicious food too. God Blessed me with with coming here!!! They helped me with my adiction and past trauma. I have not felt this good in 30yrs. I normally don't write papers or speak infront of crowds. I wrote a 5 page paper and read it infront of 50 people and it was such an amazing feeling. I so Recommend Recovery Village to anyone who needs help in adiction and trauma.
Very great place in Raytown near Kansas City! I was scared after a bad experience at another facility but this place is really good and the providers, nurses, therapists, and staff are all quite wonderful minus a couple. Lol
The staff was amazing. I didn't know what to expect, but I would recommend this to anyone with an addiction or mental health issues.
I’m so grateful to have found myself again. My experience with Recovery Village was top notch. They are organized, caring, supportive and friendly.
I have just gotten my brother into The Recovery Village Kansas City and I've been incredibly impressed with their process. Their recovery advocates (I have been working with a godsend named Marissa) have been so amazing. They have bent over backwards to help me navigate the process, helped my sister in law, my brother and myself with amazing compassion and have been with me every moment over the last 48 hours from the time I made the first call to the time he left for their facility. At this point it's up to my brother to embrace sobriety but I am firm in the belief that they will all do everything within their power to help him. I have never felt SO supported in my life during this very trying and emotional time.

FAQs

Most health insurance policies will partially or completely cover addiction or mental health treatment services. The Recovery Village Kansas City Outpatient Center accepts most major insurance plans except Medicare and Medicaid. Our team can work with you to verify what your insurance may cover. If services aren’t covered, we can help you locate other facilities that may accept your policy, or we can work together on private pay options.

Outpatient treatment gives people the chance to work on their mental health and substance use concerns while still attending to everyday duties like work, school, or family life. Because it is less intensive and allows for more flexibility than inpatient care, it provides a higher level of autonomy. Outpatient services are particularly helpful for individuals experiencing mild to moderate issues or for those moving from a residential treatment environment back into their daily routines.

Intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) often run for at least a month. After completing an IOP, people commonly transition to a typical outpatient program that can continue for three to nine months. The National Institute on Drug Abuse advises longer treatment periods to improve the chances of lasting recovery.

A Recovery Advocate from our team will speak with you to evaluate your treatment needs and set up your initial appointment. You may be able to start treatment on the very day you call or soon after. When you arrive at our facility, an intake specialist will follow up with a more in-depth conversation to design a personalized treatment plan that addresses your unique concerns and goals.
