Inpatient Rehab and Detox in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

Coeur d’Alene Drug & Alcohol Rehab, Detox & Treatment Resources

The substance abuse issue is complex and multi-faceted. It isn’t as simple as you think it would be to understand. In America, there are numerous things that contribute to the epidemic of alcohol or drug addiction that’s taking over the nation. The ironic isolation and loneliness we all feel in spite of being so technologically connected, the fear constantly thrown at us from the media and the high stress levels of our society all lead to substance misuse. It only takes one time of substance misuse to activate addiction in those who are genetically prone to it.

This issue has spread to the residents of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The drug and alcohol addiction is hitting Idaho hard. There were 228 drug-induced deaths in Idaho in 2014. If you struggle with a substance use disorder, this number may make you feel discouraged. However, there is still reason to be hopeful. Local drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities can assist in finding healing from a substance use disorder.

Coeur d’Alene Drug & Alcohol Detox Centers

One beneficial thing about a detox center is that you are able to get medical supervision as you go through the detox process. If you attempt to go through withdrawal symptoms by yourself, you may end up relapsing. The withdrawal symptoms can be dangerous depending on the substance you are stopping. Having medical supervision is important.

While detox is essential, it does nothing to address the mental, emotional, spiritual and psychological aspects of substance use disorder, which is even more important.
