About

Amalia Sirica is New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a writer. She has spent the last ten years working with children, young adults and adults of all different backgrounds and experiences. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Duke University, and her master’s degree in Social Work from New York University.

Her areas of expertise include attachment-style based trauma and using mindfulness and somatic practices to improve your relationship with yourself and others. She has a special interest in writing about addiction as she has seen the effect addiction has had on her own family, but she has also seen that there is hope and help. When Amalia is not working, you can find her spending time with her friends and family, dancing and traveling.
