Jay Fertig is the President of Real Estate for The Recovery Village responsible for the acquisition, zoning, and development of the company’s real estate assets. Fertig has more than 35 years’ experience in valuation, development, and disposition of real estate. Beginning his career as a management trainee at Florida’s largest development company and culminating in leading a half billion-dollar liquidation of the company’s assets as its Senior VP twelve years later. At that point, he reported to the Board of Directors comprised of leadership from the Apollo Real Estate Fund.
He went on to start his own real estate development company and partner in a General Contractor entity. Fertig is a recognized expert in real estate valuation having testified in both Florida State and Federal Bankruptcy court on multiple occasions. Mr. Fertig holds a degree from State University of NY and an MBA from Pace University and is a licensed Florida Real Estate Broker.
