Maura Spence-Carroll, Miss Colorado 2021, joins us as a Real Talk Brand Ambassador in 2021/2022! She is an active-duty soldier at Fort Carson, CO, and is also studying Communications with a minor in Journalism. In addition to serving as an ambassador, Maura also dedicates her time to ensuring military servicemembers and veterans have access to mental health resources and has spoken to military leaders at multiple levels on the importance of comprehensive mental healthcare and social support. Supporting Real Talk and Advanced Recovery Systems is important to her because addiction is not a choice, but a disease, and impacts both the civilian population and military members.
