The Recovery Village Educational Series

The Recovery Village offers online and in-person educational opportunities to help medical professionals stay up to date with the latest advancements in their fields and earn continuing education credits. We also offer community education for anyone interested in addiction and mental health topics.

What Are Continuing Education Events?

At The Recovery Village, we know how important it is for medical professionals to stay current on the latest trends and treatment protocols in their fields. To help, we offer a series of continuing education opportunities in our local communities, led by our team of doctors, clinicians and trusted partners. Each presentation is designed to keep you on the forefront of advancements in the following fields: substance abuse, addiction, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), eating disorders and other co-occurring mental health issues.

In 2022, Advanced Recovery Systems launched ARS University – a free online addiction and mental health education platform dedicated to keeping you up-to-date on issues and trends in these fields. Whether you’re a professional seeking continuing education or an individual looking to learn more to support yourself or someone you care about, you can find information here. We welcome you to sign up at no cost to take advantage of our weekly webinars, both live and on-demand, and engage in our community.

Other FAQs About Our CE Events

What is the difference between the Community Education Series and the Professional Education event series?
  • Our Community Education Event series is for the general public, anyone interested in learning more about addiction, mental health, COVID, how to de-stress, human trafficking, and so much more information! All webinars are recorded and hosted on our website.
  • Our Professional Education Series offers medical and health care professionals the opportunity to earn continuing education credits either online or at in-person events. These events are accredited by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC).
Why have virtual events?
  • The Community Education Series was created March 2020 as COVID started to impact the world. We decided to pivot our in person events and create online education. This series is for the general public, anyone interested in learning more about addiction, mental health, COVID, how to de stress, human trafficking, and so much more! All webinars are recorded and hosted on our website.

How do I know if I can receive CEU Credits?

Each event’s registration page will clearly indicate if CEU credits are provided. This will be the last sentence on every event page!

How will I know if my board accepts the credits provided?

Our Professional Education Series Events are accredited by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). Most state Professional Counselor Licensure Boards readily accept NBCC credit for licensure renewal. Other professions such as social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology and nursing have their own approval processes; some accept NBCC credit. In order to be certain, you will need to contact your board directly for information on their continuing education requirements.

How will I receive the credits?

The afternoon after an event you will be provided with a link to an evaluation of the program. After completing the event evaluation, a certificate indicating you were in attendance will be issued to you immediately via the same email you filled out the form with. Make sure to check your junk mail folder if you believe you did not receive it as this process is automated through Google Forms.

We convert our live, community education events into on-demand webinars which contain valuable insights on addiction and mental health topics.
