Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health

The Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH) offers a comprehensive list of health clinics that provide drug and alcohol treatment services for adults. Services include:

  • screening and evaluation;
  • outpatient counseling;
  • opioid treatment, including methadone maintenance;
  • continuous treatment team programs for individuals with long-term, disabling alcohol and drug dependence disorders;
  • less intensive case management services offered through the outpatient counseling agencies;

  • detoxification;
  • residential services including short-term/variable length-of-stay treatment (30 days or less), long-term treatment, and halfway houses

Residents of Delaware may dial 2-11 to connect with health and human service resources, including referrals, advocacy, or other help for drugs and alcohol through Delaware 211.
