She empowers clients to overcome life’s obstacles and to improve coping skills, believing that she is most effective by taking a warm and accepting approach.
She is a Licensed Social Worker and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wright State University and a master’s degree in psychology from the University of Dayton. Maria has worked in numerous settings and specializes in working with clients with addiction, depression, trauma, anxiety, family and parenting issues, anger management, severe chronic mental illness, personality disorders, ADHD, infertility, adoption and foster care, autism, developmental disabilities. For nearly two years Maria has enjoyed the opportunity to see the significant changes occurring in patients at Recovery Village as they change and grow through their recovery.
