Deborah Kallick received her PhD from the University of Illinois at Chicago, followed by a post doc at UC Berkeley. She was granted indefinite tenure at the U of Minnesota in Medicinal Chemistry before moving on to Biotech, where she worked in such diverse areas as the Human Genome, biophysical approaches to infectious disease therapeutics, and preclinical drug development.
She has worked on a number of drug discovery and development projects, and is devoted to understanding the mechanisms, pharmacology and side effects of pharmaceuticals related to human health and well being. Her hobby is studying the molecular and pharmacological basis for food as medicine.
