Eating disorders are a varied group of diagnoses that encompass a wide range of conditions, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, pica and binge-eating disorder. Although each condition is unique and involves separate sets of symptoms, all eating disorders center around food and eating. While some of these conditions involve a person having complete control over the food they eat, others are characterized by a lack of control over one’s eating habits.
