Levels of Care

One of the keys to lasting recovery is individualized, evidence-based treatment. At The Recovery Village Palm Beach at Baptist Health, we offer a full continuum of rehab care to ensure our clients can gradually build the skills needed to maintain long-term recovery. Currently, our center offers medical detox, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient levels of care. Depending on the level of care, treatment may take place at The Recovery Village Palm Beach’s main campus or our outpatient center, located just two miles away.

Medical Detox

Discontinuing the use of drugs and alcohol is a crucial first step in addiction treatment. During medical detox, clients make the transition from active substance use to recovery in a safe, medically supportive environment. Around-the-clock monitoring from our dedicated medical team enables clients to safely manage withdrawal symptoms so they can enter the next stages of treatment with a firm foundation in sobriety.

Residential

After completing medical detox, most clients step down to residential care. Also referred to as inpatient treatment, residential care provides structured support and supervision in the early stages of treatment. Clients participate in support groups, receive clinical care and reflect on recovery during the day and return to on-site sleeping accommodations at night.

Partial Hospitalization

Clients in partial hospitalization treatment typically transition to off-site living while continuing to receive therapeutic programming and medical treatment. While this program is less intensive than residential care, it still provides clients with a considerable amount of clinical support.

Intensive Outpatient

Once clients have gained confidence in their newfound recovery skills, they often step down to intensive outpatient treatment. This level of care balances structure with autonomy, so people can utilize coping skills while continuing to receive therapeutic support. In this stage, clients may transition to a supportive family or sober living accommodations.

Outpatient

While some clients undergo outpatient care as the final stage in a full continuum of care, other individuals may enter outpatient treatment directly after detox. Clients in outpatient care undergo treatment on a part-time basis while residing at off-site sober living accommodations or a supportive home environment.

Treatment Therapies

Addiction doesn’t develop in a vacuum. In many instances, substance abuse forms in response to traumas, co-occurring mental health disorders or other conditions. During treatment at The Recovery Village Palm Beach at Baptist Health, individual, group, family and recreational therapies are used to help people understand the complex roots of their addictions, heal from past traumas and build the skills needed for a rewarding life in recovery.

Individual Therapy

During individual therapy sessions, counselors work one-on-one with clients to identify and address the thought patterns, beliefs and experiences that drive addiction. From there, clinicians help clients cultivate the motivation to find healthier coping skills and build a rewarding life in recovery. Depending on each client’s unique needs, clinicians will employ a broad range of evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

Group Therapy

Outside support is crucial to long-term recovery. To set clients up for life-long healing, The Recovery Village Palm Beach at Baptist Health helps build the skills needed to create a healing social network through group therapy. Group therapy is an opportunity for those in recovery to hear about the experiences of others, discuss treatment challenges and triumphs, and receive the accountability needed to stay committed to sobriety.

Family Support & Therapy

Addiction doesn’t just impact the person struggling with substance use, which means that addressing its roots often requires discussing family history and potentially unhealthy dynamics. That’s where family therapy comes in. With the help of a trained mental health provider, clients and their families work to address past dysfunction and find healthier ways to relate to each other.

Recreational & Holistic Therapies

For those in active addiction, substances often provide a way to avoid boredom and negative emotions. Staying committed to recovery means finding new ways to decompress and occupy free time. Recreational and holistic therapies provide clients with the opportunity to explore their interests, develop lifelong hobbies and practice healthier stress-reduction techniques.

Recreational and holistic opportunities offered at The Recovery Village Palm Beach at Baptist Health may include:

  • Two fully equipped exercise gyms
  • Basketball court
  • Volleyball court
  • Horseshoe pit
  • Frisbee golf

Aftercare & Support

Ongoing accountability and clinical care are essential to a continued commitment to recovery after graduating from treatment at The Recovery Village Palm Beach at Baptist Health.
