What Does the Treatment Process Look Like?

Although each person’s needs vary, rehab at The Recovery Village usually follows a similar process for every client, beginning with an evaluation and ending with aftercare planning.

  • Intake assessment

Upon arriving at our facility, each client participates in a comprehensive intake evaluation that assesses their mental and physical health. Our team uses the results of this assessment to create a personalized treatment plan for each client.

  • Medical detox

Most people will enroll in detoxification as the first step of rehab. This level of care is necessary because it rids the body of drugs and alcohol and offers 24-hour support as clients go through withdrawal. Once detox is complete, clients can start inpatient care with a fresh foundation for recovery.

  • Transition to other levels of care

Detox lays the groundwork for further residential treatment, including inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient care. During each of these programs, clients live onsite and receive medical care and mental health counseling support. When it’s medically appropriate, clients can move from residential care to outpatient treatment, where they might reside at Next Step Village, our sober living facility, or another safe and supportive location.

  • Aftercare

A solid aftercare plan prepares people for life after rehab and empowers them to stay strong in recovery with a variety of medical, therapeutic and social supports. Our aftercare plans usually include recommendations for local support groups, maintenance medication schedules (if necessary) and follow-up appointments with local doctors and therapists.

Great place to get help and do some work on yourself - - staff for the most part is top notch and caring. Emily, the case manager, made my discharge process and transition totally seamless; she handled everything for me. I'd suggest if you've been struggling for a while to get clean that you surrender to TRV and take an active role in joining this community and you'll have a rewarding gift of sobriety and new start on life!! The techs are patient, caring, and attentive on most days so be open to asking when you need things. Bring an iPod to listen to music during downtimes. Also a swim suit for the pool. Equine therapy is also a calming experience and worth a shot. Thanks to TRV and the whole team!

I have good and bad to say about this location. I will start with the good. I am very appreciative of my time spent and the help that was offered to me. I was able to work on myself and learn a lot. So much of the staff helped me to move forward. My Therapist Kristin was instrumental in setting the foundation for rebuilding my self respect. I am very grateful my case Managers Emily and Amanda for the time they spent helping me as well. Special thanks to Antoinette for having my best health interests at heart. The food in the kitchen was good. Thanks to you Frank, Lou, Lisa and Matt. The BHTs have a very hard job. Some of the ones who were helpful were Big John, Dee, Patrice, Katie, Jenn, Sharon, Ron, Adolf, Nick and i am sure there are some I am missing. Ysh, and Tobi both helped me have breakthroughs. Dave took lots of time with Art and Recreation that was a great escape. My largest challenges were:The medical side of things was very unorganized. I did blood work 3 times and they never got it done correctly. They tried to do it a fourth time and I refused so that my primary doctor could help instead. Also it felt like the Doctors did not talk with each other about the patients. I would start a medication with one, and it would be canceled by another saying it would not work for me. One Would know about my previously existing medical conditions and the other would not. They need more training on sexual orientation, and gender identity. I feel like people were trying to be helpful but did not have the educational tools available them to succeed. The shower and toilettes are not good. They are the cheapest options available in bulk. The toilet paper is horrible. And the facility is not nearly as clean as it should be. There are many times where i would ask for cleaning supplies and told that they were out of them to check back the next day. I do believe that The Recovery Village tries to help people in a great way. And that people can find recovery here. Thank you for all you have given me.

I came here kind of being forced but wanting to at the same time. Once I got settled from the nursing staff to clinical to the techs they truly care about what is best for you. The food is great you get a queen bed and they make your stay as comfortable as possible. I would recommend this to anyone that needs help!

I would like to say that amanda the case worker is an amazing woman who goes above and beyond for me and every one else. Dave is an amazing man who has opened my mind in many ways to recovery. John has been there for me thru my whole stay and has always kept me positive even when I was down. Rich was amazing he kept my room spotless and always catered to my picky needs. Mindy the nurse was so understanding and helpfull in every problem I had she helped me get things I needed done and was so helpful to my needs and she was so sweet and kind to me. Beatrice was so sweet to me she catered to me when I was detoxing and was so mindful to how my time here was she was happy to see me grow. Ron and Adolf Wendy and Val Candice the techs were all very helpful to my needs and they were helpful and took care of my needs. AJ was the most inspirational speaker he helped me thru my struggles and kept me grounded with the motivation in the talks we had and I am so grateful he is here he taught me more than what I could get out of any group session he is by far a great man. Toby is the smartest woman I have ever met she always has an answer no matter what the stupid question was I asked. I looked forward to her classes and every time I would see her I could stop her and ask her anything and she would open my eyes and always make me see anything I thought wrong about in a whole new light. Tom the nurse was very helpful in my time of need when I was going thru the worst feeling thankfull for him.I have enjoyed my time here and in sad to go but eager to move on sober. Thank you every one I mentioned for helping me see that sober living is such a beautiful thing without you guys I would not have made it you guys kept me grounded and opened minded. If I dont ever see you guys again thank you and I will always remember you guys fir what you have done for me . God bless and keep doing great things for everyone .Thank you so much
