We Can Do Better – Communication Among Families and Couples
Information Coming Soon!
The Recovery Village at Palmer Lake invites you to our Continuing Education Event!
Presenter: Shane P. Hodges, LPC
Shane Hodges is a 20-year resident of Colorado. He grew up in a small Nebraska town with no diversity and experienced bullying for being different. In spite of that, he was raised to have an open mind and respect for others. Eventually, those values, and a desire to help others, led Shane to enter the mental health profession as his second career.
In his private practice, Shane works with individuals, couples, and families ages 12 and above. He has training in Functional Family Therapy (FFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization & Processing (EMDR). He has significant experience working with the LGBTQ+ community as well.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Shane has a few simple goals:
- Positively impact the life of individuals he encounters
- Maintain professionalism and integrity in his work as a therapist
- Work to minimize the negative stigma associated with mental health
Shane has made efforts to achieve these goals through his work as a counselor, consultation work with colleagues who need assistance with the business aspect of private practice, and creation of Life Balance Connections...a membership-based professional networking website established to bring together a like-minded group of trusted health and wellness professionals.
As a mental health professional, Shane hopes to continue to be professional, maintain integrity in his work, push for collaboration among colleagues, and bring together the best of the best within the mental health community.
