Description: Please join us to get an overview of mental health and substance use disorders and how they are often connected. Learn about who to screen and the tools that are available to gain the best insight into the patient or client, with the goal to walk away with a better understanding of treatment programs and setting up a plan to heIp people succeed in their recovery.

Objectives:

1. Attendees will learn to differentiate between the 3 different levels of Substance Use Disorders; mild, moderate and severe.

2. Attendees will learn 7 specific signs that may signify a SUD.

3. Attendees will learn the importance of screening for SUD and at what level intervention is needed.

4. Attendees will be able to identify at least 3 Screening Instruments that can be used in SUD assessment.

The Recovery Village Atlanta is a 60-bed, continuum of care treatment facility in the suburbs of Roswell, Georgia. The 31,000-square-foot facility treats adults who are struggling with addiction, substance use disorders, and co-occurring mental health issues. As a physician-led company, we provide quality service at every level of care, supporting our clients at every step of their recovery journey. The facility will be opening in late September 2022.
