Description: In the aftermath of the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become apparent that the conditions that produce and sustain addiction have changed uniquely. This presentation will present a limited review of those conditions and their impact on persons struggling with addiction, their spouses/partners and family members.
(1) Participants will be able to identify significant impact of COVID-19 on Sex/Pornography Addicted Individuals and their partners and families.
(2) Participants will be able to identify barriers to partner recovery and specific interventions to create stability and build resiliency.
(3) Participants will be able to recognize the relationship between research related to the ACES instrument, trauma and the origins of addiction.
