This webinar is intended for treatment providers who are interested in learning more about best practices for treating clients who have been impacted by trauma, as well as how treatment providers can better care for themselves when working in trauma-informed treatment settings. Molly Jones, LSW and Clinical Education Coordinator at Advanced Recovery Systems will discuss the impact of trauma exposure, its effects, and how to best intervene with clients to provide them with the best possible care. Attendees will learn about the recommended therapeutic modalities and approaches when treating trauma and gain a greater understanding of why these modalities/approaches are best practices. Molly will identify clinical resources for strengthening your skills and techniques as a provider. Attendees will also learn about the importance of self-care and why treatment providers working in trauma-informed settings need to be mindful of vicarious trauma. Molly will identify and discuss specific ways treatment providers can care for themselves to be the best possible version of themselves when treating clients.
