Adolescents face a series of unknown challenges that can interfere in all domains of their life; further complicated when faced with trauma exposure and chronic adjustment as it relates to uncontrollable circumstances. In this training, you will learn skills necessary to best treat adolescents and their families in a way that can foster resiliency and success as they work through different mental health and substance abuse difficulties.

About the Speaker:
Shannon Crather is a practicing Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor in Ohio and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. She received her Master’s degree from Monmouth University in Mental Health Counseling.
1. Better understand common developmental, mental health, and substance abuse issues facing adolescents when faced with trauma and chronic adjustment
2. Develop practical strategies to implement when working with adolescents and their families while facing mental health and substance abuse difficulties
3. Develop improved competency in delivering evidence guided interventions supportive of fostering resilience within family system and independent functioning

2 Continuing Education Credits will be administered for attending this training.
