Intervention and Teaching Families How to Help
The Recovery Village Ridgefield invites you to our Continuing Education Event!
Presenter: Leslie Koralek, PHD, CDAC III
Intervention Specialist, LKJ Consulting
Leslie Koralek has successfully navigated more than 500 interventions. Part of this success stems from his own dealings with alcoholism. It was when his family staged his intervention that he realized the life-changing affect a family’s love and devotion can have on a seemingly hopeless addict.
It is important not to throw labels around carelessly, and when addressing a victim of addiction, it can become difficult to stay away from the kinds of terminology that reinforce hopelessness and unacceptability. Leslie Koralek’s firsthand experience with addiction creates a much more sensitive and accommodating environment for everyone involved.
His wry sense of humor and self-deprecating personage makes Leslie incredibly easy to confide in, making the process of intervention that much easier. Through his testimonials, and great success rate, you can trust your loved ones will be in good hands through this life-changing event.
