Director of Outreach for Hopewell
Chris Goodall, LISW-S, is the Director of Outreach for Hopewell, providing direct services to residents as well as sharing the work of Hopewell with other professionals and referral sources.
Chris received her Master of Science in Social Administration from the Mandel School at Case Western Reserve University. She has specialized training in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Social Skills Training, Problem Solving Training, Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment, Cognitive Enhancement Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Chris has a passion for horses. As an adjunct faculty member for Lake Erie College, Chris lectures on equine-facilitated psychotherapy and learning. She is also on faculty for the Human Equine Relational Development (HERD) Institute and helped to start In Step with Horses, a non-profit in Chagrin Falls dedicated to bringing animals and humans together for mental wellness. She a member of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International and a Certified Trauma Practitioner through the National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children.

Topic Description: The presentation will explore equine-facilitated psychotherapy;
Participants will be able to define equine-facilitated psychotherapy
Participants will be able to identify the qualifications and competencies for mental health professionals working with horses
Participants will become familiar with relevant research and explore how horses can improve outcomes and retention

Certifications of Completion
Continuing Education credit hours will be awarded as accredited by NBCC. Attendees will need to contact their governing body in order to have credits applied. The exception would be nurses that would go through CE Brokers. Priority seating is reserved for individuals receiving Continuing Education Credit.
