How being trauma-informed can change the trajectory of the highest level of care we provide to patients. Trauma lies in the eye of the beholder. Being mindful of how it could impact some of their behaviors during treatment, and the neuroscience behind it.

Objectives:

1. Increase the awareness of the co-occurrence of trauma and addiction

2. Raise more awareness on trauma and how it impacts addiction dependence and recovery

3. Interventions and Things to consider during treatment for clinicians who don't specialize in trauma. (Countertransference issues to keep in mind)
