Ecstasy, MDMA Addiction Self-Assessment Quiz

Have you ever asked yourself, “Am I addicted to ecstasy/MDMA?” Numerous people have wondered this, and The Recovery Village created a tool to help people identify the severity of their drug use.

Taking this ecstasy/MDMA self-assessment quiz can help you evaluate your drug use but it cannot replace an official, clinical diagnosis of a substance use disorder. The results of the quiz can offer a guide to recognizing problematic drug misuse, identifying the symptoms of a potential addiction and finding proper addiction treatment. Speak with your physician regarding the results of this assessment or call The Recovery Village to confidentially discuss your drug misuse with a knowledgeable representative.

Am I Addicted to Ecstasy, MDMA?

The assessment intends to give some insight into your drug use and any potential addiction to a specific drug. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders is the standard guide for diagnosing substance use disorders and this assessment is based on criteria from the book. The “yes” or “no” questions pertain to your substance use in the past 12 months, but the questions only refer to drug use and do not include alcohol use (instead, take The Recovery Village’s quiz for identifying alcoholism).

Answer “yes” or “no” based only on your ecstasy/MDMA use. In the past 12 months, have you:

Used ecstasy/MDMA at least once a week?
Ever actively tried to stop taking or reduce your use of ecstasy/MDMA but were unsuccessful?
Increased how often you take ecstasy/MDMA or the dosage of the drug?
Had a craving or strong urge to take ecstasy/MDMA?
