MISS FLORIDA 2016 – Courtney Sexton represented Orlando in the 2016 Miss Florida pageant and won the title on July 2, 2016. She was the first Miss Florida titleholder to represent the Real Talk campaign. As a spokesperson for the campaign, she visited 23 middle and high schools in Florida to educate students about the dangers of substance abuse and addiction.

Sexton was a state ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a national partner of the Miss America Organization. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and now works as an account executive at the HCI Group, a global leader in health care IT consulting. She is studying to obtain a master’s degree and plans to work as a health administrator in a children’s hospital.
